Dr. Kamesh Patel says that the most fulfilling part of his job as a Dallas dentist is being able to give our patients the kind of smiles they have craved for years. The moment when he hands someone a mirror so they can see their newly enhanced teeth for the first time always brings him joy. That feeling of knowing he is making a positive difference in people’s lives has constantly pushed him to achieve higher and higher levels of excellence for over 20 years. Before you have a chance to meet Dr. Patel in person, you can learn a little more about his background below.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Patel earned his first dental degree in 2005 from the Government Dental School and College in Ahmedabad, India, and after practicing dentistry there, his quest to achieve excellence brought him to the United States of America. Eventually, he graduated as class valedictorian from the Advanced Standing International Student Program of the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.
Since graduating, he has been practicing dentistry in Texas and continued to expand his clinical skills and knowledge by taking countless hours of continuing education. Dr. Patel has worked as an exodontist (a general dentist who is highly skilled in the extraction of teeth, including wisdom teeth) and a privileged dental implant provider with Brident Dental. Through them, he provides his services to 15 of their dental offices, where he removes anywhere from 300 to 500 teeth and places anywhere between 30 to 50 dental implants in any given month. He is currently maintaining this part-time position and provides his general dentistry services at Prestige Dental three days a week.
To make sure that he is always up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry, he is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
